This is a special birchwood rolling pin used for making flatbread, hardtack, some use it for lefse,(I like using a regular rolling pin for lefse).
Anonymous, very quick on the draw, gets a pat with the oven mitt. (Though I was wondering if we had an actual English name for it. My family has always called it a lefse rolling pin)
